Christ came to save lost sinners,
     of whom I am the chief;
Just not by my good works,
     but by the object of belief.

He for his sheep,
     laid down his life;
And took the church,
     to be his wife.

By his mighty saving grace,
     which we did not deserve;
Converted – now regenerate,
     we seek our Lord to serve.

His voice we hear,
     for we’re his sheep,
His promises,
     we know he keeps.
